COHÉRENCE x The Armoury "Marc" Model

COHÉRENCE is inspired by legendary artists, writers, musicians, and intellectuals that all synthesized at the same time.

Designer Kentaro Nakagomi of COHÉRENCE elevates the classic overcoat with his unique design features and silhouettes.

"To me, the overcoat is the one of the most romantic garments in menswear. It’s like the black dress for a woman. That’s why I like the overcoat and choose to work with it. Also, I love European clothing and culture, but just copying doesn’t add value, you have to innovate and differentiate," Nakagomi-san explains.

COHÉRENCE x The Armoury "Marc" Model

We are excited to present the latest model exclusive to The Armoury: The "Marc" Cravecord Coat.

Inspired by French-American painter and writer Marcel Duchamp, The Armoury exclusive "Marc" Cravecord Coat is an updated version of the Coherence "Mutt" model. The style is originally derived from the dispatch rider's coat from the mandatory motor messengers in WWII. We added a simplified belting system, and adjusted the proportions with a lower waist and buttoning point. The "Marc" coat is modified to make the style more practical and suitable for city life than the original.

Gianluca Migliarotti of Pommella Napoli models the "Marc" Cravecord Coat for us below.

A Synthesis of Personalities

COHÉRENCE is inspired by legendary artists, writers, musicians, and intellectuals that all synthesized at the same time. It was this synthesis of personalities and talents at a specific moment in time that drives the guiding theory of the brand.

The additional COHÉRENCE models are inspired by great minds throughout history.
